![]() ![]() No it does not, but you will unlock items to use in the main game (weapons and armour, mostly) that will be left in a chest in the first town for you. Same with Mass Effect 3 and it's cross-over bits. running our of space! Would ideally like to play the demo a few times then delete. I'd say I wrung a good two hours out of said:ĭoes the demo create a save game or something so it can register the loot/unlockables in the main game? Just hoping you're not required to leave the demo installed on your HDD. Quick question: How long is the demo, and does it lock you into a certain area of the game or does it just limit how much time you can spend in it? I hope it's the former, I like taking my time.Īfter the tutorial/beginning, you've got 45 minutes to roam around and do whatever, but the timer stops when you're in a menu, a conversation, or doing the lockpick mini-games. I've been hoping to hear such words since I saw Brad's "What It Is" video. I'm definitely plunking down cash for Amalur in February. This is, in short, the Fable game we've been hoping for since 2005. With everything becoming "dumbed down" or "streamlined" to oblivion, this is an RPG that not only marries action-based combat but the depth and complexities that people feel are often missing from the modern RPG. However, I also feel that Reckoning is exactly the kind of kick in the ass that most people feel the RPG genre needs. There are undeniably comparisons to be made to Elder Scrolls games, and they're warranted. Oh, and somehow, Reckoning has managed to make Magic a fun tool to use. The animations are almost silky smooth, and are actually fun to watch. It's got enough depth to it to be compelling, and is quite responsive. The combat is more in between Darksiders and Fable than something like DMC or God of War, but that's fine. The look, the combat, everything, it's all so reminiscent of Fable, but in the best possible way. I've finished the demo (and unlocked some loot for the game), and I have to say, holy crap. ![]()
